Where to Buy Down Bedding
Today, I decided to compile a list of the best places to buy down bedding online. Obviously, it’s a good idea to go to the store yourself and get a feel for the comforter or pillow you are about to buy, but if you already know what you want or you’re satisfied with the reviews, these websites sell down bedding and are generally reputable websites.
Target.com – Target is one of my favorite places to look. You’ll find several options and styles available for purchase with decent overall prices. Also has down alternatives. Clearly a place you can trust.
Wal-Mart.com – WalMart doesn’t have nearly the selection Target has when it comes to buying bedding down, but you’ll get a decidedly better value without there being a sale on down comforters or anything. Very cheap stuff for the quality you’re getting and many customers have loved what they ended up with.
Macys.com – Macy’s has very high quality down pillows, comforters, and blankets. At regular price, you’re going to pay top dollar, but the great thing about Macys online is they have sales all the time. In fact, they’re having one right now. You can save 20 to 25% off anything you buy as long as it’s between $25 and $100. Plus, if you sign up for their email newsletter, they’ll send even more savings to you. You can find some real steals (sales are regularly between 40 and 66% off) at Macy’s if you check every now and then.
BedBathandBeyond.com – Bed Bath and Beyond has about as many choices as Wal-Mart for traditional bedding, but you will find more specialized and colored bedding at BB and B. Significantly higher prices and they don’t have any on-site reviews which is quite a nifty feature when searching. When you search for “down bedding” on their website, you’ll also come up with related results that aren’t really what you’re looking for. Not a bad place to get ideas from.
Dillards.com – Dillards is another higher end place that doesn’t have nearly the sales of Macy’s but nevertheless, I still really liked the brands they have and quality of product. Brands featured are Ralph Lauren, Noble Excellence, Nobility, and Luxury Hotel. You’ll also find specialized items like European Down and reversible comforters.
JCPenny.com – Pennys is pretty good quality and had some comforters in various colors for those of you looking. When I checked they did have some sales, but overall the prices weren’t fabulous, more like mediocre. Selection was ok, but I would say Target was the front runner of the several sites I reviewed.
